How long does account approval take?>
The Ticketlink team reviews all new organiser applications within 24 hours. During busy periods it may take up to 48 hours. You will receive an email confirmation once your account is approved. Until then you can log in but cannot publish events.
When do I get paid?>
Ticket revenue is collected via Paystack and transferred to your registered M-Pesa or bank account. Payouts are processed after your event has taken place. You can track your earnings in the Finances tab on your dashboard.
Can buyers get a refund?>
Refund policy is set by you as the organiser. Ticketlink does not issue refunds on behalf of organisers. You are responsible for communicating your refund policy to attendees on your event page.
How does gate scanning work?>
Every ticket has a unique QR code. From your dashboard you can add gate staff members by email. They log into the Gate Scan portal on any phone with a camera and scan tickets. Admitted tickets are marked in real time — a ticket cannot be scanned twice.
What does 4% mean in practice?>
If you sell a KSh 1,000 ticket, Ticketlink takes KSh 40. You receive KSh 960. For a KSh 3,000 VIP ticket, Ticketlink takes KSh 120 and you receive KSh 2,880. The fee covers payment processing, the platform, QR scanning and support.
Can I have a free event?>
Yes. Free events have no platform fee since there is no revenue. You can set any ticket tier to KSh 0 and attendees register for free and still receive a QR code for gate scanning.
What is a custom subdomain?>
A custom subdomain is a branded URL like solfest.ticketlink.co.ke that shows only your events — no other organisers, no marketplace. It costs KSh 1,500 per year or KSh 500 per event (30 days). You can claim yours from the Profile tab in your dashboard.
